A little pricey on the weekends, but you can usually find a deal, whether through LMG or the course's own web site (through the end of the month you can play 27 for the price of 18 on a weekday). Three separate 9 hole courses allows them to break up 18 in a few different ways, and helps the pace of play, as does the GPS on the carts. Not only is it nice to have exact yardage to the hole, as well as hazards, but you can see how far other carts are ahead of you if it is a blind shot and you don't know if it's clear.
The Dunes is the longest 9, for those of you that like to grip it and rip it. Fairly open and forgiving. This 9 also plays through most of a subdivision, but the houses sit well off of the fairways and don't come into play...not saying I haven't come close though.
The Bluffs is medium in length and pretty straightforward. Again, for the big hitters, some good driver holes. Back to back par 5's (#5 & #6) is a nice touch when you're in a clubbing mood, but #6 requires a little more accuracy off the tee. #9 is definitely a risk/reward hole, with the safe play putting it in the middle of the fairway with a long iron or a 3/5 wood off the tee. Big hitters will be challenged to take a line over the lake to leave a short chip and putt for birdie.
The Peaks is the shortest, and requires more accuracy. For the first 4 holes, the greens are tucked up against water. #1 you have to come in from the right side of the fairway or you are in serious trouble. #2 is a par 3 over the water to a green that plays well for a slight hook for right-handers. #3 is a par 5 with a peninsula green that has a narrow approach. And # 4 is an elevated par 3 tee shot to small green along the water below.
Overall, a very nice course with a lot of ammenities. I would recommend it to anyone. Also, if you take your scorecard over to Kalloways Restaurant (just south of the course on M-24) after your round, you can get a discount on dinner and drinks.
