Played this golfcourse on Friday March 6th. The greens are Seashore Paspalum and are similar in look and feel of a dwarf Bermuda grass. While the color and density of the turf is good, the playability or roll is sketchy. These greens are less than a year old so the thatch layer is thin, meaning the greens are not as shot receptive as they will be in another year. Once these greens get a top dressing and the mowers cutting height is lowered, the greens trueness of roll should improve. The golfcourse is in excellent shape aside from the greens rolling less than pure.
This golfcourse is one of Jacksonville's more difficult designs, with water on every hole and small putting greens. Bring your A game to this place and be prepaired for some hopping of the ball on these greens.
