Played Sunday August 10th. For the most part this is a really good course.
Positives: Layout includes several doglegs, many elevation changes, and lots of water to avoid. The greens are really in great shape. They are closely cut Championship Bermuda and include a lot of slopes. This results in many putts with a lot of break and some severe down hill putts if you end up on the wrong side of the hole. The firm Bermuda greens seem to be really durable and eliminate the severely marked up greens you see on the softer Bentgrass greens. The greens very quick and the putts tracked smoothly. The fairways are very short Bermuda that allow for a lot of roll.
Negatives: The course seems to attract a lot of beginners and high hadicappers. It is not unusual to find other golfers or at least abandoned golf balls in your fairway. Sundays round was 4.5 hours. The fairways are a little thin in places.
Several of the tee shots are blind so your first round may be a little frustrating (especially if you hit on the wrong line and end up OB or in a creek).
Very fun course and challenging greens in great shape. My playing partner was at Sawgrass the week before and said the greens were very similar(very different than the Bentgrass greens).
