The attendant at the front desk was very helpful and friendly as were the various workers we seen around the clubhouse. They had a tournament getting ready to start so they put us off the back. The tourney wasn't to big so caused us no problem we cruised around in 3 - 3.5 hours.
The layout of the course is some what dictated by the property. The has a few more holes where the yardage may be the biggest challenge. The back is more of an accuracy type course and pretty short for the most part. Many holes have marshy type hazards that you can not hit from. Not a ton of sand but most holes had a bunker or two.
Most holes offered a variety of tee boxes which seemed to be in pretty good condition. The fairways were zoysia and most were in decent condition. There were a few that were under repair which I prefer over courses just letting them go. The rough in many places was burnt which is the case on many courses after a week of 100 degree temps. I was never confused thinking I was on Pebble Beach but enjoyed my round.
The greens were in very nice condition. They rolled true and were not overly beat up like many I have seen of late. They were average for speed. They were not slow like some cut rate courses but were definitely not fast. If you are wanting to have a good putting /chipping day this may be the course for you. The undulation is at a minimum.
I didn't hang out in the clubhouse much but they seemed to have a full variety of golf items and apparel. There was a large area set up for a tournament the day I was there that looked to serve as a bar/banquet area.
I played just before noon on a Saturday and payed less than $20 through LMG. zoysia fairways, good tee boxes, good treatment, a fast pace and very nice greens for under $20? It was a 35 minute drive for me. Otherwise when I wanted to get in a quick round it may turn into my hang out. It is just off the Hwy and easy to find. If you are looking for Pebble Beach go to Calf. If you are looking for a cheap round of golf without having to play in a cow pasture check them out.
